Expert Audit & Verdict
If you've visited the pricing page of any Y-Combinator startup recently, you've likely seen Aeonik. It has replaced Inter and circular geometric sans-serifs as the default choice for "serious" tech companies.
Impactful but neutral. Aeonik manages to be strictly geometric (appealing to engineering-led teams) while having wider proportions that feel luxurious and established. It doesn't scream "startup"; it whispers "enterprise."
Technical performance is a highlight. The variable font implementation allows for extremely fine-tuned weight adjustments, which is crucial for dark mode interfaces where text often looks thinner. We found the optical sizing to be perfect for both marketing headers and dense dashboard UI.
It is a paid font, but for a brand identity, it offers a distinctiveness that open-source alternatives like DM Sans just can't match.
